Am I just wrong and over complicating things? IPSec has always been the bain of my existence. I can see this easily working for a site-to-site but not a host-to-gateway. From what I can tell I would need to know each users home IP address and likely have everyone's home private IP range be on a different subnet from each other which is not very practical. My question is is a IPSec VPN appropriate for a Host-to-Gateway VPN environment. PPTP is in reality secure enough for us but given the option I would prefer the more secure IPSec VPN option. I want users to be able to mount samba shares the same way they do in the office.
